Heights Mobility Study

Hello Hampton Terrace,
In an effort led by FDOT District 7, the Heights Mobility Study to identify immediate and comprehensive improvements along Florida Ave and Tampa St/Highland Ave and surrounding areas (more information on the Study can be found at HeightsMobility.com) is being launched.
Based on feedback received during Phase I of the Study, we are including a walking audit along Nebraska Ave (focusing on the portion between MLK and Sligh). This walking audit, led by members of the Study Team, will include representatives from relevant agencies and community members to identify immediate safety and mobility improvements. The walk will last about 3 hours, followed by a 1-hour conversation to debrief about what was observed.

Here are the details:

What: Nebraska Ave Walking Audit (Nebraska Ave from S. of Dr M.L.King Jr Blvd to S. of Sligh Ave)

When: Monday, February 19, 2018 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM (walking audit), 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM (debrief session) (end times are approximate)

Where: Nebraska Ave from S. of Dr M.L.King Jr Blvd to S. of Sligh Ave; meeting along Nebraska Ave in front of the Winn Dixie (805 E Dr M.L.K. Jr Blvd, Tampa, FL 33603)

Description: Following a brief introduction we will begin the walking audit to identify potential safety and mobility enhancement along the corridor. We will wrap-up the walking audit with a debrief session to review observations and potential improvements somewhere along the corridor near our starting point.
